konnichiwa, magtatanong lang po sana ako kung puede pa po kaya mapapalitan maiden name ko to married name? last year 2018 ng march pa po kami kinasal dito sa japan. puede pa po kaya? balak kn po sana mag renew passport to married name kaso inaalala ko baka useless lang kung hindi na pala puede mapapalitan sa cityhall records namin sa kosekitohon at kekkon todoke. Shinpai desu. Arigatou po.

alam ko kasi 3 months ang deadline ng pagpapalit ng apelyedo.

Kung magre-renew ka ng passport,
Kosekitohon ang dadalhin mo,
ang kosekitohon mahirap magalaw kc,
kailangan pa saiban approval,
so need mo mag-request sa saibansho ng change of name dun sa Kosekitohon

tinatanong naman yan pag nag-dasu kayo ng Kon'in todoke,
kung gagamitin ba ang family name ng husband. 

Pero may mga instances na hindi pwede gamitin ang family name ng husband
lalo na kung divorced sa previous japanese husband ang pilipina
na nakapagpakasal muli dito sa japan
pero hindi pa nagpapa-Recognition of foreign divorce sa pilipinas.

Long, long time ago...
kapag kinasal ang babae at lalaki,
automatic na pumapasok sa apelyedo ng lalaki ang missis.
Pero may option pa din na pwede i-retain ang maiden name.

Pero lately, marami na ang nagkakanya-kanya ng surname,
dahil kumakaunti na ang mga japanese
or dahil sa economic reason.

Halimbawa, kayamanan kanya-kanya kaya pati apelyedo kanya-kanya.

lalo na kung ang anak ay puro babae at mayaman na anakan,
pag nag-asawa ang mga anak  at naging apelyedo ng mga husband,
eh di wala ng tagapag-mana ng surname ng ankan nila,
matatapos bale ang history ng ankan  ng babae... fade away kung baga.
Kaya para maretain ang family surname ng ankan at hindi mabura sa history,
yan ang naging solution, magkaibang apeledo ang nauuso.
Hindi naman negative meaning yan, just to preserve their roots.

Kaya sa pagsulat din ng Kon'in todoke yata yan.
Baka hindi familiar ang husband mo sa fill-up ng Kon'in todoke
kaya na-miss ang married name to be applied.
Nakakalito nga naman kung walang guidance ng shiyakusho personnel.

Pero mayroon din pilipina na mas preferred nila ang maintain ang maiden filipino surname nila,
para kung biglang naghiwalay o nag-collapse ang marriage nila,
hindi na nila kailangan bumalik pa sa maiden name.
Wala naman yata effect sa pamumuhay yan.
Dahil kahit magkaiba ng apelyedo, legal pa din ang kasal,
parang mag-boyfriend kunyari.
