Ayon sa nilabas na statistic ng Ministry of Justice today March 20, ang naitalang overstayer cases for the last year 2014 ay umabot ng 60,007 katao, an increase of 946 persons compared last year 2013. Until last 2013, patuloy itong bumababa for 21 consecutive years, subalit last year 2014, tumaas muli ito.

Followed by China with 8,647 and Thailand which has 5,277 persons. Ang Vietnam naman ang meron pinakamalaking increase ng bilang which has 2,453 persons an increase of 66.8% compared last year.

Ang tinatawag na OVERSTAYER ng Immigration ay ang mga taong pumapasok here in Japan na hindi umuuwi pabalik sa kanilang origin country or hindi nag-aapply ng extension kahit na lagpas na ang kanilang period of stay in Japan.
