Finally, Japan officially declared the second SoE today January 7 sa ginawang press conference ng Japan Prime Minister. Ang implementation period nito ay simula bukas January 8 until February 7, 2021.

Ang area covered naman ay apat na prefectures lamang namely, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba at Saitama prefecture.
