According to this news, Apple announced yesterday March 25, that they will start the construction of the Technical Development Center they are planning to build in Yokohama.
The construction of the facility are scheduled to be completed middle next year 2016. This facility will be used in development of the main parts of smart phones Apple manufacture.
The place will be 10 minutes walk from Tsunashima station of Tokkyu Touyoko line. The said facility will be a part of the YOKOHAMA SMART CITY PROJECT that the Yokohama City is undertaking now.
