Base sa statistic na nilabas ng Ministry of Justice kahapon March 10, ang total refugee applicants na natanggap nila last year 2014 ay umabot ng 5,000 katao. Dahil dito, pinag-iisipan ng Ministry of Justice na baguhin ang rules and guidelines nito lalo na sa pagbibigay ng rights to work.
Sa mga applicants, ang mga Nepalese ang pinakamarami na umabot sa 1,293, then followed by Turkey and Sri Lanka.
